Dive Education
Discover Scuba Diving - a bit of theory followed by an accompanied dive 1:1, which means 1 diving instructor is guiding 1 student. Minimum age: 12 years.
PADI Scuba Diver - this option is ideal for divers with limited time. 3 knowledge development sessions plus 3 confined open water dives followed by 2 open water dives. All this within 2 days in a very relaxed atmosphere and you are a certified PADI Scuba Diver. As a PADI Scuba Diver you are eligible to dive with a PADI Divemaster or above within a maximum depth of 12m/40 feet. PADI Scuba Divers have 12 month to continue their training toward the PADI Open Water Diver rating without retraining. Minimum age: 12 years.
PADI Open Water Diver - a worldwide recognized dive certificate. Training includes 5 modules of theory plus swimming pool sessions and 4 open water dives with exercises. The course duration is 4 days (2 days swimming pool, 2 days open water). Minimum age: 12 years.
Advanced Open Water - the advanced course includes at least 3 obligatory (deep, night and navigation dive) dives. Minimum requirements: 12 years of age and PADI Open Water Diver.
Rescue Diver - this course contains 12 modules. This is the first PADI course in which your attention is focused one helping other divers. Every responsible diver should at least educate him/her self up to this level. Minimum requirements:12 years old, ADOW or ADOW Plus.
Divemaster - the first step to professionalism. The real diving job is best learned by working at a dive center in an internship. After 7 weeks of hard but rewarding work you will get the full picture of working as a professional in the diving industry. You will participate as an assistant during PADI courses and guide divers during daytrips. Minimum requirements: 18 years old, 60 logged dives, Rescue Diver, Medic First Aid certificate (not older than 2 years).
PADI Emergency First Response - participate in our one day Emergency First Response course. It is a rewarding course not only for divers, EFR and CPR. It is required to be EFR certified to become a PADI Rescue Diver.
Dan Oxygen Provider - learn how to take care of a victim (diving or swimming) by using the life-saving oxygen properly.
PADI Instructor Development Program
The PADI Instructor Development Program prepares you to function as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. In addition, it further develops your leadership and teaching abilities to the instructor level and prepares you to teach PADI programs. During the PADI Instructor Development program, you'll learn the PADI System of diver education, standards and procedures, effective academic teaching presentations, teaching in confined water, conducting open water training dives and additional related topics. You'll learn these topics one of two ways; through the PADI Instructor Development Program (IDC) or the PADI Instructor Orientation Program (IOC).
After successfully completing your PADI IDC/IOC and IE, you receive a certification card and certificate denoting this rating. You'll also become a member of PADI and receive benefits, including the ability to purchase professional liability insurance (which may be required to conduct some activities).
Continue Your Education - make yourself more valuable
It is important to understand that diving is a business, new and exciting job opportunities are steadily increasing, and so is the competition. To make yourself a more valuable Instructor in the market, you want to be one step ahead of the rest. The easiest way to do this is to continue with your own education. Below you will find the most sought after courses.
Padi Enriched Air (EANx/Nitrox) Instructor (2 days)
Worldwide the most popular Specialty Course! In recent years Enriched Air Nitrox has become a more important part of the recreational dive industry. During this course you will learn how to use the PADI EANx tables, the oxygen analyzer and benefits of diving with enriched air. All teaching materials and course standards are reviewed.
The actual Enriched Air Diver Course itself is included in the Instructor Course. A prerequisite for this Instructor rating is certification as an EANx diver with a recognized training agency. Those of you not yet certified - no problems - the PADI EANx diver course easily can be integrated with the EANx (Nitrox) Specialty Instructor course into a two day program. To become certified you will need a total of ten enriched air dives. The last eight experience dives can be conducted during the MSDT Course or other specialty dives.
Padi Wreck Diver Instructor Course ( 2 days)
One of the most popular specialty courses worldwide! This Instructor course teaches you how to organize, conduct, plan and promote the PADI Wreck Diver Course. During the course we will explore and map the famous WW2 wreck - USS Liberty - and discuss teaching techniques and course materials/outlines.
Padi Deep Diver Instructor Course (2 days)
This program covers the course standards, dive planning, organization, potential hazards of deep diving and trains the diver to the recreational diving limit of 40 meters. It reviews the preparation and use of emergency decompression techniques, the deployment of "drop tanks", managing air supplies, special equipment including descent lines and reels, conservative diving practices and computer use. Due to deep dives, this course is conducted over two days.
EFRI - Emergency First Response Instructor (1 day)
This comprehensive program is composed of two core modules that can be taught in tandem or as stand-alone courses: Emergency First Response - Primary Care and Emergency First Response - Secondary Care. Together, these courses provide extensive instruction in CPR and First Aid, as well as providing optional (yet recommended) Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Emergency Oxygen sections.
The EFRI course teaches Instructors and Divemasters how to organize, conduct, market and promote the Padi Emergency First Response Course. Seeing that several Padi courses require students to have EFR training prior to certification, you want to ensure that you can offer this course. As a Padi EFR Instructor you can also offer this non-diver course to family and friends. Your Padi Course Director will give you hands on experience in how to conduct and organize this course in a fun, low stress manner, before you do your IE.
Padi Naturalist Specialty Instructor Course (1 day)
We believe that all Instructors should have the knowledge and capabilities of making all of your own courses more interesting and enjoyable, as well as educational for all students. With the Naturalist Specialty course and commitment and experience, you will be able to teach all of your own courses with that extra bit of knowledge, making you a more interesting Instructor and a more valuable employee.
IDC Staff Instructor (14 days)
This is probably one of the Instructor level courses which offer you the most fun to do - starting two day`s prior to the IDC. Similar to the partnership between AIs and Instructors, IDC Staff Instructors work with Course Directors as important team members in the instructor training process. As an IDC Staff Instructor, you may staff instructor development programs and instructor-level continuing education courses. You will also be qualified to teach the Padi Assistant Instructor course - a responsibility only you and Padi Course Directors share. The IDC Staff Instructor Course is a prerequisite for the prestigious Master Instructor rating.
Bali Dive Sites
Amed - situated in north east Bali. The coral garden starts right off the beach breaking the surface with a staghorn coral field and huge schools of glass fish. This is Bali 's best snorkeling area. The dive starts in a shallow area of 3 to 8 m in a wonderful coral garden. You may encounter turtles and bumphead parrot fish.
Tulamben - long wreck rests in a 90 degree angle with the deck facing the sea side and used to be an American supply ship named "USA Liberty". Anchored off the coast of Lombok, the ship was hit by a Japanese torpedo during World War II.
Tulamben Wall - divides into three great dive sites: the wall, the coral garden and shark point. All dive sites can be accessed directly from the beach. The Wall starts at a depth of 1 m to then drop straight to 40 m. Besides amazing coral growth this reef also features an unbelievable landscape sculpted by many overhanging rocks. The coral garden is only about a hundred meters away from our dive base Tauch Terminal Tulamben, which is located directly at the beach. The coral garden starts at a depth of 2-15 m and is wonderfully grown featuring stone- and soft coral alike.
Tulamben Wreck - situated directly near the beach on Bali’s northeast coast. The 120m long wreck rests in a 90 degree angle with the deck facing the sea side and used to be an American supply ship named "USA Liberty". Anchored off the coast of Lombok, the ship was hit by a Japanese torpedo during World War II.
Kubu - is a small village in the neighborhood of Tulamben and just a 10 Minute drive to the North-West of Bali. The Kubu Reefs are easily accessible from the rocky lava shore, similar to the dive sites at the Tulamben bay area. This site is a very good snorkeling spot too.
Padangbai and Candi Dasa - we will leave the harbor of Padangbai with destination Candi Dasa. After a 45 minute boat trip by traditional 14 m long outrigger boat, we will arrive at Lipha, a fishing village with a fantastic sandy beach. It is a perfect snorkeling site and also extremely suitable for Discover Scuba Diving.
Blue Lagoon - the Blue Lagoon is situated near Padangbai's harbor only 5 boat minutes away. We will be diving both lagoons at either side of the harbor. The southern part of the reef drops vertically to 20 m and continues in a sandy area.
Shark Point - Shark Point can be reached via snorkeling close to the wall. The residing sharks are commonly White Tip- and Black Tip Reef Sharks and may rest at a depth of 20 to 30 m in a sandy area. When currents are present, occasionally grey reef sharks and even Hammerhead Sharks circle the blue. This dive site is not suitable for snorkeling.
Nusa Penida - the best adventure you have in Bali. Most of the dive sites are drift dive areas with wall, bizarre underwater world and untouched reefs. Our experienced Divemasters and Instructor make these dives unforgettable. At these dive spots you can discover manta rays, sharks and also larger pelagic species like the Mole Mola (Sunfish).
Nusa Lembongan - the best adventure you have in Bali.
Gili Biaha - after we leave the harbor of Padangbai with destination to Candi Dasa we will arrive at Gili Biaha after a 30 minute boat transfer. On the seaward side of this solid rock a slope drops down to depth of 50 - 80 meters.
Blue Corner - exhilarating drift diving. Currents can be very strong. Challenging tides and currents from the surrounding islands make this site very unpredictable. Bali International Diving Professionals recommend this as an advanced diving site.
Menjangan - is a 1,5 km long and 500 m wide island in the north/west Bali national park. The Indonesian government has limited the daily allowance for divers. All dive sites are only a short boat trip away.
