European Lynx (Felis lynx lynx) inhabits in the European part of Russia, in West Siberia. Izhevskaya area (Udmurtia) is one of the several places in Russia, where the special hunts for Lynx are organized. Hunt is conducted in the forest with using of experienced specially trained dogs. These dogs find the Lynx on its latest scent and drive it on a tree.
It’s better to conduct this hunt on the shallow snow in the beginning of the season – in November – December. It’s easy to get to the hunting place – at first by car, then on the snowmobile or on foot. Professional outfitters – guides of the dogs – to help to hunter come up closer to the animal on the distance to shoot. After the Lynx hunt it’s possible to hunt additionally for Moose or Wild Boar in the same hunting estates.
