The development of the climbing and whitewater rafting scenes occurred simultaneously beginning in the 70’s and 80’s. Just as a few visionary paddlers recognized the potential for the New and Gauley Rivers to become a world-class whitewater destination, a small group of avid climbers walked the cliff bands and visualized a world-class climbing destination. After years of new route development this has come to pass.
Class VI will be happy to package your rafting trip with a rock climbing and rappelling course with our outfitter of choice. The first guide service in the area, they offer the utmost in professionalism and experience as they tailor your climbing experience to meet your needs.
