Default egy egy

hey people , Egypt is a great travel option for those who like to see some contrasts and meet history right in his way...I wouldn't say that Egy is not safe..what happens with the kidnapping is when tourists are going to some areas they shouldn't go, like the border with Sudan or some regions of Sinai where Bedduins live. It's the simplest rule of safety: stay with your group and don't search for adventures and nobody will touch you. As for me, i mostly enjoyed Egy having a native guiding me along the trip. It wasn't hard to find one, as all Egyptian people are keened to show tourists how great their country is and plus to this i enjoyed lower prices and seen places that most of the travelers will never have the chance to visit. The rest is same as all others said : modest clothing, no drinking in public and ofcourse the unimaginable trafic are all making Egy a special and exotic destination, which attracts me over and over with its special magic. Enjoy it!

My husband and I will be visiting Egypt via a cruise ship, port Alexandria. I am looking for a reputable 1 day tour from the ship to Cairo and back. I have heard about a tour, Bestwaytravel.org, have you heard about it and is it reliable? The ship shore excursions are very expensive...hoping to find something more reasonable.

Thank you. Grannie and Papa Z

Default Alexandria

after pick you up from the Marin port of Alexandria
you would need about 3 hours in the road by the car because there is 220km from Alexandria to Cairo and the same time to back from Cairo to Alexandria
the tour up to your available time
so could including the pyramids complex and do not forget enter one of the small pyramids there
and could be enough also for the Egyptian museum or the bazaar
and you can also have a tour day in Alexandria instead of
at all wishing for you a good luck

My son spent 8 months in Cairo, and we visited him there. It is SAFE, but just watch your wallet. The worst thing is that you'll get pick-pocketed. There is no violent crime there because they would have their hands cut off!

I can recommend a tour guide for a day - his name is Farag. He took us around - very personable and speaks English beautifully. My son became friends with his son. If you are interested, my son has his phone #. Let me know.
