| The Struve Geodetic Arc was measured from 1816 to 1855 under the direction of Friedrich George Wilhelm Struve. It follows longitude east 25° fairly close for over 2,820 kilometres, stretching from northern Norway to the Black Sea. The designated area of the Arc consists of 34 stations, spanning 10 countries. |
