| The Majlis Gallery was opened on November 2nd, 1989 as a commercial artistic exhibition and a meeting place for artists. It is located in an old traditional house in Al Bastakiyah area in Bar Dubai. That house was built in 1940. The Majlis Gallery is committed to showing works related to heritage, tradition and scenes from the Arab Peninsula in addition to local and Arab fine arts works. The Gallery holds a number of exhibitions around the year. It also hosts several workshops and special events and exhibitions. The Gallery also has the Resident Artists Program where international artists come to explore, present their experience and hold exhibitions in Dubai. |
