| Nestled in the foothills of the Pennines, in Greater Manchester, England, Heaton Park is one of Europe’s largest municipal parks, at over 600 acres: it contains eight English Heritage listed buildings, a boating lake, an 18th- century hall, four championship- standard bowling greens, a golf course, a herd of highland cattle and a farm. The park is host to numerous concerts throughout the year, and a summer outdoor theater. |
