| Since 1938 Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables, Florida, has assembled an outstanding collection of taxonomically arranged and well-documented tropical plants, emphasizing palms, cycads, flowering trees, vines and fruit trees on its 83 acres. Except for certain domesticated plants and critically endangered species, most of these plants are collected from the wild. These collections are now a resource of world significance. |
