| Situated on the north fork of Long Island in Suffolk County, Southold, New York, Custer Observatory hosts, among many other activities, skygazing, open to the public every Saturday night, weather permitting. Observing at Custer is encouraged because of its dark skies with relatively low light pollution compared to most of Long Island. |
