| The castle of Chenonceau, near the small village of Chenonceau, France, has a history dating back to end of the XI th century however the castle in it's present form was built in 1513 by Katherine Briconnet. Chenonceau is a remarkable castle known for its architecture and for its collections of art and Renaissance furniture. It also has a large collection of masterpieces by for example Le Primatice, Rubens, Le Tintoret. The castle is open for public and it has been made large efforts to give the visitors the best experience. |
