| Established in 1765, the St Vincent Botanic Gardens are the oldest botanic gardens in the West Indies. These gardens are the oldest of their kind in the Western Hemisphere. Here you can see an endless array of trees, plants, and flowers, including a breadfruit tree which is a direct descendant of one brought to the island in 1793 by Captain Bligh. You can also see rare St. Vincent parrots and Barbados green monkeys. |
