| Black Moshannon encompasses 3,394 acres including a 250 acre lake, in central Pennsylvania. The park is nestled in the Moshannon State Forest land. The high altitude of the lake and wetlands provides cool summer days and excellent winter activity conditions. Also, plants and animals normally seen farther north can be found here because cool, wet conditions create the right habitat. The park offers boating, warm water fishing, hiking, camping, hunting, picnicking, environmental education program, ice fishing, ice skating, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and mountain biking. |
