Desolation Canyon is a wonderful venue for a family river rafting vacation. There are many small to medium size rapids after the first day of the trip. We provide 2-man inflatable kayaks for the use of guests who want to experience a higher level of participation. (Everyone always has a seat in the larger oar powered rafts) All camping gear is provided. We also take our wooden dories on a limited number of spring trips.
Meet us in Green River, Utah, the evening prior to your trip. From there we will provide a scenic flight to the launch site at Sand Wash. At the end of the trip, we will return you to Green River. Youth rates available for this trip. Call for info.
* Itinerary
Arrive in Green River, Utah the evening prior to your trip. We will meet you for a brief orientation.
- Day 1
We will pick you up at your motel or campground. We will drive you to the Green River airport for a 30 minute scenic flight in a small plane to Sand Wash. A short hike from the landing air strip will get you to the boat launch area. (This is an easy two mile downhill walk to river) Meet your guides, board the rafts and begin the float down Green River.
