Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in airport and transfer to Matera.
Day 2: Altamura and Matera. Breakfast, departure for Altamura and visit to the historical center. We especially recommend the Romanesque Cathedral built by Frederick II and dedicated to Assunta. In the afternoon, we visit Matera, the city of sassi, ancient, fascinating neighborhoods that create an utterly unique urban site. It is recognized as a worldwide UNESCO Patrimony. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Massafra. Breakfast and departure for Massafra, where we advise you to visit the Museum of Oil and Wine, the Sanctuary of Madonna della Scala (located in a gravina, or canyon typical of this region), the ancient Chiesa Madre, the convent of the Capuchin, and to take an excursion through underground Massafra. In the historical center, enjoy the museum with an open ceiling. During the afternoon, visit to Alberobello, famous for its traditional truly, ancient peasant homes. Evening return to Massafra and overnight stay.
Day 4: Ostuni and Cisternino. Breakfast and transfer to Ostuni for a visit to the beautiful white city. Evening return to manor house with a quick stop at Cisternino to visit the city at dusk.
Day 5: Breakfast. Visit to the city of Grottaglie. Transfer to airport and departure.
