Day 2: Kremlin and Red Square
Breakfast at the hotel. Moscow city tour by metro and on foot, including the Kremlin and Red Square. Time at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. Includes: (B).
Day 3: Kolomenskoye Estate and New Maidens' Convent
Breakfast at the hotel. Tour by car or bus to the Novodevichy (New Maidens') Convent and Kolomenskoe Estate. Time at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. Includes: (B).
Day 4: Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov Veliky
Breakfast at the hotel. Pick-up at the hotel in Moscow by the driver. Transfer to Sergiev Posad (58 km). Sergiev Posad city tour - Trinity Monastery of St.Sergius, Trinity Cathedral, Cathedral of the Assumption. Transfer to Pereslavl-Zalessky (65 km). Pereslavl-Zalessky city tour - Red Square and the 1152 Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Saviour, Nikitsky Monastery. Departure for Rostov Velikiy (66 km). Accommodation at the hotel in Rostov Veliky. Overnight at the hotel. Includes: (B).
Day 5: Yaroslavl
Breakfast at the hotel. Rostov city tour - Kremlin (architecture, the Enamel Museum or the Museum of ancient Russian art). Transfer to Yaroslavl (57 km). Yaroslavl city tour - city center, Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Saviour, Church of Elijah the Prophet. Departure for Suzdal (~ 200 km). Arrival in Suzdal. Overnight at the hotel (we may stay for overnight in Vladimir). Includes: (B).
Day 6: Suzdal and Vladimir
Breakfast at the hotel. Suzdal city tour - Kremlin (architecture, the Nativity of the Virgin Cathedral, Cross Hall), Saviour Monastery of St. Euthymius, the Museum of Wooden Architecture or the Intercession Convent. Transfer to Vladimir. Vladimir city tour. Transfer to Moscow. Arrival in Moscow, transfer to the train station. 21:50 - Departure by train to Velikiy Novgorod. Overnight at train. Includes: (B).
Day 7: Novgorod and Surroundings
06:10 - Arrival in Velikiy Novgorod. Transfer to the hotel. Tour by car or bus to the St. Yury Monastery of the 11th Century and the Museum of Wooden Architecture "Vitoslavitsy". Walking tour to the Kremlin of Novgorod, St. Sophia Cathedral of the 11th century, Yaroslav's Courtyard (the ancient Marketplace, where architectural monuments of the 11th-17th Centuries are located). Overnight at the hotel. Includes: (B).
Day 8: Saint Petersburg
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the train station, 08:00 - Departure by train to St.Petersburg (we may replace the train transfer with the bus transfer). 11:20 - Arrival in St.Petersburg. Meet by the guide at the train station. St.Petersburg tour with a local guide by car or bus, including Peter and Paul's Fortress or St. Isaac's Cathedral. Lunch. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation. Time at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. Includes: (B, L).
Day 9: Saint Petersburg
Breakfast at the hotel. Walking tour to the Hermitage Museum. Time at leisure. Pick-up at the hotel by the driver, transfer to the train station. 22:00 - Departure for Petrozavodsk by train. Overnight at train. Includes: (B).
Day 10: Petrozavodsk and Kizhi
06:50 - Arrival in Petrozavodsk. Meet by the guide. Transfer to the hotel. Breakfast. Petrozavodsk city walking tour. Departure for the Island of Kizhi, located in Lake Onego (75 minutes one way by hydrofoil). Arrival at the Island, meet the guide there. Walking tour to the open-air Museum of Wooden Architecture Kizhi. Return to Petrozavodsk. Time at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. Includes: (B).
Day 11: Kivach Waterfalls, Petroglyphs, the White Sea - Baltic Canal
Breakfast at the hotel. Pick-up at the hotel by the guide. Departure for the White Sea coast (450 km to the north). Visit the Kivach Waterfalls and Nature Reserve, featuring typical northern forest plants and animals. Walking tour (about 4 km roundtrip along the forest path) to Petroglyphs - an archeological sight, prehistoric rock-carvings. Observation of the White Sea - Baltic Canal, constructed during Stalin's time. Arrival to the White Sea coast (towns of Kem or Belomorsk) in the evening. Overnight at the hotel. Includes: (B).
Day 12: Solovetsky Islands
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the Solovetsky Islands by morning boat. Transfer to the hotel. Walking tour to the Monastery and Fortress of Solovetsky, established in the 16th Century, and to the Museum of Stalin's Gulag hard-labour camp. Time at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. Includes: (B).
Day 13: Solovetsky Islands
Breakfast at the hotel. Boat tour to Zayatsky Island. The main places of interest of this Island, covered with tundra-type vegetation are its prehistoric stone labyrinths and the old wooden church of Andrew the First Caller (1702). Being a protected area, the Island is frequented by seals and sea birds. Transfer to the pier. Departure for Kem or Belomorsk by evening boat (without guide). Transfer to the train station. Departure for St.Petersburg by train (without guide). Overnight at train. Includes: (B).
Day 14: Saint Petersburg
Afternoon - meet at the train station by the driver. Transfer to the hotel. Time at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. Includes: (B).
Day 15: Saint Petersburg
