Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Home City - San Hose
Meet and Greet upon arrival to San Jose's International Airport, and Transfer to the Best Western Irazu Hotel and Casino.
Day 2: San Jose - Pacuare
Depart San Jose early morning, stopping for a delicious breakfast at the New Rios Tropicales Operations Center, before arriving at the river's edge. Once there, friendly professional guides will load your gear into dry bags, prepare the equipment and provide you with complete safety and paddle instructions. The first day's Class III rapids welcome you to the Pacuare Gorge's charm as you raft deep into the heart of primary rain forest. While guides prepare a hearty picnic lunch on the riverbank, you are led through the jungle to an enchanting waterfall and natural pool for a swim.
Before you know it, arrive in the afternoon at the award winning Rios Tropicales Lodge to relax, hike or soak in the natural pool and waterfall. Nestled in the jungle on our 1,000-acre private reserve, the lodge offers you all the comforts you need in Cabecar Indian style bungalows. Private single and double rooms are spacious with clean linen, and there are modern bathrooms and showers. Electricity is generated by a self-sufficient hydro-plant. Happy Hour will put you in the mood for a tropical evening, followed by a luscious candlelight dinner with wine served by your guides. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 3: Pacuare - Arenal
After a hearty breakfast and loading the rafts, prepare to paddle down the Pacuare Gorge past gushing waterfalls, serene pools and pounding rapids. A snack stop by the riverside lets you explore more waterfalls and natural water slides. An adrenaline-packed afternoon running rapids like Upper and Lower Huacas, Cimarron, Dos Montanas and many more, will have you cheering enthusiastically. Hot Lunch is served at the new Rios Tropicales Operations Center. Showers, changing rooms, cold and hot drinks, and snacks are also available. Afternoon transfer to Arenal, and check in to the Arenal Paraiso Hotel. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 4: Arenal - Kayak Arenal Lake
Today cross the mystic waters of Arenal Lake, Costa Rica's largest and most breathtaking lake enjoying spectacular views of powerful Arenal Volcano, still active with lava spewing from its peak daily. Embark in first class touring kayaks to enjoy a day paddling in the lake's calm waters under the gaze of this impressive volcano (4 hours). Afternoon, optional Canopy Tour and other optional tours are available at your hotel. Includes: (B)
Day 5: Arenal
Breakfast at your hotel. At the scheduled hour, Transfer to the Airport for flight to San Jose, and connecting flight home or to next destination. Includes: (B).
