Undoubtedly one of the Cape's biggest attractions is the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve at Cape Point. Situated at the tip of the world-famous Cape Peninsula, flanked by the Indian Ocean on the east and the Atlantic on the west, it is noted for its abundant floral diversity. The reserve has a spectacular coastline, with Cape Point boasting the highest sea cliffs in South Africa. From this lofty vantage point, you can witness the meeting of the two oceans.

The Cape Winelands – Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch:

* Franschhoek, meaning ‘French corner’, was so named after the French Huguenots who settled here in the 1680s. And here, they first made wine in South Africa 300 years ago. Today it is one of the premier destinations in the World of Wine.

* Stellenbosch, founded in 1679, represents the culmination of a long tradition of wine making. With a knowledge of wine making spanning three centuries, the Stellenbosch Wine Region is today synonymous with high-quality, award-winning wines.

* Paarl, meaning ‘pearl’, was founded in 1687 and named after a massive granite rock that glows like a pearl in the sunlight. The Paarl Wine Route is renowned for its exquisite, world-class red wines because of the granite content in the soil – hence its nickname, the ‘Red Route’.
