The Selous is the largest game reserve in Africa and one of the least known. It is considered by many African travelers as th 'Holy Grail African Wilderness area largely undeveloped and unspoiled, as our travel writer recalls. It is larger than Denmark, and holds an Elephant population of about 35,000, and it is the home of over 350 recorded bird species and 2,100 species of Flora.
Two days flying safari to Selous Game Reserve, the largest game reserve in Africa, 4 times the size of the Serengeti. Accommodation is at Rufiji River Camp, situated in the north eastern part of the game reserve on a high bank overlooking the mighty Rufiji River and the plain beyond.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Transfer to Dar es Salaam Airport for afternoon schedule flight to Selous. Evening game drive in the Selous Reserve. Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp.
Day 2: Early morning walking safari. Lunch at the camp then afternoon schedule flight back to Dar es Salaam and transfer to the city center. End of our services.
