Picture yourself poised in the door of an aircraft, the ground some 10,000ft below. Your heart racing, you leap out. Accelerating to 120mph in 10 seconds! You glance around, and there are your instructors, assisting you to accomplish a set of free fall manoeuvres. You check your height, and at the appropriate time, you pull your own ripcord. Things get quiet very quickly as the parachute opens.
You look down, and see you see the parachutes of your instructors open below you. Yahoo! You then take charge of your parachute, and begin the final descent to landing. Sound interesting, well there's more but you need to find out how the story finishes yourself! 2 day course, which culminates in you jumping from an aircraft 10,000ft.
Together with 2 Instructors, you leave the aircraft and "free fall" for approx 30 seconds. During this time, you execute a variety of manoeuvres and techniques. At 4,000ft, you pull your own ripcord and deploy a parachute (your instructors are there to assist if required). From leaving the aircraft to landing is approx 5 minutes.
