Our 'Off-piste Adventure' is based out of Kicking Horse resort in Golden, British Columbia and offers the highest quality, most easily accessed off-piste skiing and boarding anywhere in Canada. We can get you there; from airport to resort and back again. This tour is for the strong intermediate/ advanced skier who wants to learn more about the backcountry and avalanche safety, ski 1000ft couloirs, 3000ft powder runs.
Your Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Calgary where you will be met by your guide and transferred to our hotel. After a group dinner, take the opportunity to experience Calgary’s unique cowboy nightlife.
Day 2: Ski/Ride Sunshine - Travel to Banff in the morning and ski/ride Sunshine. This is the opportunity to ski Delirium Dive, some of the sickest, craziest in-bounds terrain in North America: 2000 vertical feet, 700 ski able acres, and slopes averaging 40 to 60 degrees. Spend Sunday night in historic and lively Banff.
Day 3: Ski/Ride Lake Louise - After a hearty breakfast, we will spend the day at Lake Louise, one of the premier resorts in the Canadian Rockies, just 30 miles outside of Banff. After a day touring the terrain, we travel to the town of Golden, our base camp for touring around Kicking Horse.
Days 4-6: Ski/Ride Kicking Horse - We will spend our days riding some of the amazing terrain in and around Kicking Horse, one of the newest ski resorts in the Rockies, and home to some of the most amazing terrain found anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere. Your guide will introduce you to the secret stashes, and there is the opportunity to tour the steep descents within striking distance of the resort.
Day 7: Option Day - This is our option day. Depending on group desires, weather conditions, and snow conditions, we have the option to ski or ride Kicking Horse Resort, Lake Louise, or Sunshine. In the evening, we make the return to Calgary.
Day 8: Departure Day - Alas – time to return to real life. At least it will be snowing in the Andes soon!
