"Grand Serre Che" is an immense ski region featuring 13 mountain villages and the Alps highest town, Briancon, its noble heritage and the hilltop fortifications of Fort du Chateau mingle with theaters, museums, village markets. Europe's longest cable car, the "Prorel" transports skiers to the summit for panoramic views of the valley below and offering over 250 km of interlinked pistes and 77 modern ski lifts.
Mountain restaurants and variations of the ski slopes impress skiers of all abilities and vary from high open alpine sectors with great off-piste opportunity to protected tree skiing on lower sections. The Maritime Alpes resorts are included on your ski pass with Les 2 Alpes and La Grave the free-riders mecca offering 7,000 foot vertical descents being close enough for a day's skiing. Just across the Italian border you will find Sestriere, a venue of the 2006 Winter Olympics.
For Nordic skiers the prepared routes are only 5 minutes away. Here you can enjoy 45 km of trails. Half pipes and snow parks await boarders. After a day on the mountain we can relax in our hotel pool, spa and bar. There will be an abundance of sightseeing and entertainment for both skiers and non skiers alike.
Your hotel for the stay is located 250m from the ski lifts and the pistes. Well located in the centre of Chantemerle with its shops, bars, restaurants, ski hire, and nightclubs, you are sure to enjoy your time in France!
