Tour Itinerary
Days 1 - 2: Melk
A warm up ride along the Danube River showcases the landscape and architecture characteristic of this region. We will view the beauty of woodlands, valleys, vineyards and farms. On Day 2, we visit Melk’s famous 900-year-old abbey. Then we'll pedal through rich farmlands, abundant with apple and pear trees.
Days 3 - 4: Steyr
Spin through farming countryside to gorgeous and architecturally rich Steyr. On day 4, roll through the pastoral Austrian countryside on our way to Lamberg Castle.
Days 5 - 6: Gmunden
A long ride to Austria’s breathtaking lakes region culminates in Gmunden, a picturesque town famous for its lakefront setting, many castles, unique ceramic style and Porche museum. Our hotel for two nights is a 16th-century castle with stunning lake views.
Day 7: Mondsee
Gorgeous scenery awaits you through mountain peaks, waterfalls, and orchards. Stop to take a dip on our way in to Mondsee!
Day 8: Salzburg
Travel through the storybook land of Salzkammergut to Salzburg. From our hotel, located in a square featured in "The Sound of Music", enjoy a walking tour of the romantic city.
Day 9: Auf Wiedersehen!
Although the tour is over, spend some extra time exploring the beautiful sights of Austria!
