Tour Itinerary
Days 1 - 4: Costa Smeralda
A quick shuttle takes us to our four-star resort situated right on the coast of the Costa Smeralda—one of the loveliest shorelines in Europe. Here we spend our days hiking, bike riding and building sandcastles. Prefer water sports? Try swimming, beach-volleyball, sea kayaking, snorkeling and windsurfing. Or tee off at the Pevero Golf Club, enjoying sea views at every hole. We also spin to Arzachena, famous for its ancient nuraghi (rock towers) and handcrafts.
Days 5 - 7: Oliena
We pedal inland to a four-star country hotel, legendary for its hospitality. Ensconced in Sardinia’s rugged interior, we spend our days hiking, cycling and learning about the island’s ancient culture, taking in natural grottos, prehistoric tombs and nuraghi villages. We’ll also venture out to the Barbagia, a wild and magical land, and ride to Dorgalia and Cala Ganone, where limestone cliffs sweep dramatically south, with an extra loop through Gennargentu National Park.
Cooking demonstrations, evenings of traditional music and dance and a succulent barbecue with Sardinian shepherds are woven into our active days—as are feasts of fresh seafood and Sardinian specialties of pasta, risotto and delicate “sheet music” bread.
Day 8: Arrivederci!
Shuttle back to Olbia after breakfast.
