Your Itinerary

Day 1: After meeting in Vancouver we will board a bush plane and fly north to Tyax Lake. During the flight you will get a glimpse of the wild mountain ranges that we are about to cross within the next couple of days. Upon arrival you will enjoy the comfort of a true wilderness lodge. Before dinner we have time to get bikes and equipment ready for the adventure. You also may want to take one of the canoes for a paddle on the lake.

Day 2: Today we make our way up over Taylor and Windy Pass into the Southern Chilcotin Mountains. From Windy Pass you will have an awesome view all around before a seemingly endless single trail downhill awaits. Finally we reach Spruce Lake and our wilderness camp, our home for the next two nights. Our luggage will be flown in. Distance: 30.5k / 19 miles Vertical: 1650m / 5500ft

Day 3: From Spruce Lake we make our way deeper into the awe inspiring wilderness of the Southern Chilcotins. Snowcapped peaks, wildflowers and deep blue lakes offer striking views. After 6-8 hours of 100% singletrail joy we will retreat into the comfort of Spruce Lake camp. Distance: 40k / 24 miles Vertical: 1050m / 3500ft

Day 4: After a great breakfast we say goodbye to our camp and enter mountain bikers heaven: A smooth, winding and almost endless single trail downhill through open forest and meadows will take us to Jewel bridge. From here we continue on screaming fast single track through Gun Creek Canyon to Carpenter Lake. Here we pass through the historic mining settlement of Gold Bridge and climb on switchbacks to Bralorne, sight of the most productive gold mines in Canadian historyand nowadays a ghost town with a population of 12. Distance: 55k / 33miles Vertical: 750m / 2500ft

Day 5: Today it is a relatively easy climb on forest roads to Hurley Pass. Here we have the choice between another fast, winding descent on a forest road or, weather permitting, one of the world's longest rideable single trail descents into the Pemberton Valley. There is a catch though: To access the trail 2 hours of tough hike-a-bike with spectacular views are required. Then the trail twists and winds downhill through giant trees for 9k/5.5 miles dropping some 1250m/4200ft along the way. A spectacular loghouse B&B with an outdoor hot tub is your reward for this epic day! Distance: 83k / 50 miles Vertical: 1400m / 4700ft

Day 6 (Friday): In the morning we visit the gorge at Nairn Falls before we have to ride up the Sea to Sky Highway for a few kilometers. Soon we leave the blacktop behind us and climb up into the wetlands of the Soo Valley. Here we will be challenged by a very steep double track up to Cougar Mountain. At the summit a little lake invites us for a swim. Afterwards it's a quick hike-a-bike up to the mountain top where we will be riding a magic single track through some 800 year old cedars. After a long downhill we get close to the ski resort of Whistler. Those who still have energy to spare take the single trail around Green Lake, those who wish to relax in the afternoon may go straight to our lake side lodge. Distance: up to 60k / 36 miles Vertical: 1700m / 5700ft

Day 7: Today is your chance for a rest. Or you join us for a magic ride on the famous "A River Runs Through It" trail or you take the gondola to the mountain top or…. The choices are endless.

Day 8: We cycle past golf courses and lakes before we enter a forest road to the Chekamus River. After a snack we continue downhill along the Cheakamus river on windy fast single track and on to the famous Sea to Sky trail. After lunch at a Suspension bridge and stop at picture perfect Brandywine Falls before we descend through spectacularly wild Cheakamus Canyon. A historic riverside lodge will be our destination for today. Distance: 30k / 48 miles Vertical: 850m / 2850ft

Day 9: On the last day on our way to the ocean you will get to ride some of the most beautiful trails in the region: The famous "Test of Metal" course. This combination of trail snakes its way through rain forests, along rushing creeks and below huge granit rocks. You might even catch a glimpse of the snowcapped peak of a volcanoe. Finally we reach our final destination at Howe Sound just below magnificent Shannon Falls. The Howe Sound Brew Pub will be a fitting site for your Coast Mountain X-ing celebration. You did it! Distance: 52k / 31 miles Vertical: 1050m / 3500ft

Day 10: We will shuttle back to Vancouver to your car, airport or hotel of your choice where we say our final goodbyes.
