Arrive at Paro (3280m). Stay overnight at Paro. While in Paro take a full day tour of Paro. Visit Drukhye Dzong, Paro bazar, and national museum. Visits to Satsam Chorten and Taktsang monastery (Tiger nest). They are highlight of the tour in Paro. Travel to Thimpu (2286m). In Thimpu you will see cultural program, visit national library, handicraft emporium and memorial chorten of His Late Majesty’s, King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. Before driving to Punakha, eastern valley, take half-day tour to Dechenchholing to see traditional gold and silver maker at work. En-route to Punakha (1350m) drive through a high pass at Dochula (3090m) to see panoramic view of eastern Himalayan range. In Punakha visit Punakha Dzong and school before driving to Tongsa via Wangdiphodrang. Return to Thimpu; stay overnight at Paro. Depart Paro. Fly in from Kathmandu to Paro and fly out of Paro to Kathmandu.

Day 3: Thimpu. Sightseeing tour.
Day 4: In Thimpu. Sightseeing tour.
Day 5: Punakha. Sightseeing tour.
Day 6: Visit Tongsa. Sightseeing tour.
Day 7: Travel to Paro. Sightseeing tour.
Day 8: Fly to Kathmandu or onward.
Note: For all travelers, entering Bhutan by Druk Air, the visa clearance number is forwarded to concerned overseas Druk air stations and without clearance number passengers are not allowed to broad the flight. Visa clearance is also required while issuing Druk Air tickets. Prior advance arrangement is required for all this. For travelers, entering into the country by surface through Phuenthsholing (the boarder town in south of Bhutan) the visa is stamped on arrival and clearance number is forwarded to Foreign Ministry’s Office at Phuentsholing for reference. Three copies of original passport size photographs are required on arrival. Visa fee is $20 US per person for a 14 days visa which can be further extended with additional fee of $15 US.
