Your Itinerary:
Days 1-2 Maun, Botswana - Okavango Delta
Depart Maun via chartered aircraft bound for the Okavango Delta. On arrival, you will be able to explore the delta by mokoro (dugout canoe) and on foot. This is the best way to see the world's largest inland delta: an exquisite water wonderland of reed islands, champagne-colored water and lush vegetation. Here we explore the crystal clear channels, islands and waterways by mokoro, and undertake game viewing walks on the islands. Our two nights are spent at our campsite in a private concession area. Mobile Camping (BLD)
Days 3-4 Moremi Wildlife Reserve
Charter flight to Moremi, tucked into the northeastern sector of the Okavango. The Reserve was set-aside in 1963 by the Batawana tribe, and is rated as Africa's most beautiful wildlife sanctuary. Our days are spent on extensive game viewing drives. Mobile camping (BLD)
Days 5-6 Chobe National Park: Savute
We travel up to Savute with a game drive enroute, excellent for lion and other predator viewing. We spend two nights camped next to the now dry Savute Channel. Depending on the time of year, huge animal concentrations are attracted to this area. Mobile camping (BLD)
Day 7-8 Chobe National Park: Serondela
From Savute we move up to northern Chobe (4–5 hours overland game drive) where we will camp for two nights in the Serondela area of the National Park. This is the heart of elephant country and you may spend many hours watching the huge herds in and around the waters of the Chobe River on game drives or private boat cruise. Northern Chobe is renowned for its large variety of bird and animal life, beautiful scenery and magnificent sunsets. Mobile camping (BLD)
Day 9 Zambezi River: Victoria Falls
It is a short drive from Chobe National Park to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe where you will welcome the chance to wash off Botswana's dust, relax over a cold beer, and enjoy the varied entertainment and facilities at the stunning Matetsi Water Lodge after a tour of the Falls (entrance fee to the Falls is included). Matetsi Water Lodge (BLD)
