The dolphin swim is offered daily at 9:30am, 11:30am and 1:30pm. Except on Mondays and Fridays when the times offered are 9:00am, 11:am, 12:30pm and 2:00pm.
Reservation is required at least three to four weeks in advance. We take a maximum of twelve (12) guests, six (6) at a time in the water. The program is 2 hours in duration. Kids have to meet a height requirement of 55 in. (4 feet 7 inches) or taller. Kids under 16 will have to be accompanied by a participating parent.
You will take a 25 min. ferry boat ride over to the Dolphin Experience (a 9 acre lagoon) where you begin an interactive encounter with the dolphins. Each group will be in the water 25-30 minutes. The water depth is approximately twelve to fifiteen feet deep. You will swim with fins on your feet so you will be able to swim around better and not become fatigued.
As you swim with the dolphins you will be given an opportunity to give them a few hand signals in which the dolphin will do a trained behaviour for you. As you swim and interact with them you can also ask our animal care staff questions and learn new facts about these wonderful animals.
This program is not for women that are pregnant. Check in for the dolphin swim is half hour prior to the times listed at our retail store in the Port Lucaya Market Place.
