After a short flight we find ourselves in a town of Urgench. We stay at the best hotel the town has, 2star Jaikhun. Some of attractions include: Djuma Mosque (one of the most ancient structures in Central Asia with 218 wooden columns, 10th century), Kalta Minor Minaret (built in 1850s and it seems like it wasn't finish), Kukhna Ark (the ancient fortress with Summer mosque, Khan's Tail, throne room and bastion inside, 12-17th century), Harem (one part of Tosh-Khovli Palace, 19th century), Islam-Huja Medressa & minaret ( with interesting museum of handicrafts inside, 1910), Pahlavon Mausoleum (14th century). Everyone cannot help admiring the skill with which ancient Khorezm architects decorated their creation! (B) (L) (D)

Lyabi-Khauz, a trading square built around a pool (16-17 century) is also one of the highlights of this town. (B) (L) (D)
