Your Itinerary
Day 1: USA – Beijing. Depart from the United States today to begin your tour of China’s most popular cities, crossing the International Date Line en route to China.
Day 2: Beijing. Arrive in Beijing in the late afternoon. Your English-speaking tour guide and driver will meet you at the baggage claim area and transfer you to the hotel. Take a good rest this evening to adjust to the time difference. Accommodations: deluxe hotel.
Day 3: Beijing. After breakfast, meet your guide and driver to begin your Great Wall Tour. 6,350 km in length, the ancient wall is surrounded by rugged mountains of northern China; and at the same time serves as a significant symbol of China that reflects the magnificent work of thousands of workers. Visit the spectacular Hutong Lane after lunch. The oldest Hutongs in Beijing were constructed during Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. You will have the opportunity to explore some of the best-preserved Hutong neighborhoods that could most represent the history, culture and lifestyle of old Beijing. Accommodations: deluxe hotel.

Day 4: Beijing. Explore the Forbidden City this morning. The construction of the fancy Imperial Palace began during the reign of Ming Dynasty Emperor Yongle in 1406 and took 14 years to complete; the palace is said to contain 9,999 rooms, numerous pavilions, gardens and courtyards. Afterwards, visit the Tiananmen Square just north of the Forbidden City. Known as the largest city square in the world, it was originally designed for political rallies and important gala events. However, interestingly enough, the square is currently a great spot to fly kites, stroll and even exercise. Tour around the Temple of Heaven after lunch; the temple’s Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is one of the most recognizable symbols of China.38 meters in height and 30 meters in diameter, the hall was constructed without nails and cement. Day 5: Beijing - Xian
After breakfast, explore the imperial gardens of the Summer Palace located in the western outskirts of the city. Being the best-preserved Imperial garden in China, its trees, halls, pavilions and Kunming Lake are good examples of the palace’s beautiful structures; be sure to enjoy the peaceful sceneries around the Marble Boat of Empress Dowager Cixi. Get onboard your overnight train to Xian after dinner. Accommodations: overnight train.

Day 6: Xian. Arrive Xian this morning and visit the breathtaking Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum. Discovered by several local farmers, the 2,000-year-old lifelike warriors are considered to be the 8th World Wonder. Travel to Xian’s ancient city wall this afternoon and enjoy the panoramic views of the city. Being the only city wall in China that remained intact, it became a popular area to stroll, exercise and ride bikes. Accommodations: deluxe hotel.

Day 7: Xian – Guilin. After breakfast, visit the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum, which contains displays that could be dated back to the Prehistoric era through the Qing Dynasty. Day 8: Guilin – Yangshuo. Enjoy the fabulous scenic cruise along the Li River this morning and the lunch served onboard your cruise ship. Arrive in Yangshuo this afternoon and check into your hotel. Be sure to browse the shops on Western street, where you can find minority handicraft items, artworks, paintings, traditional ink drawings, fans and clothing in the afternoon. Day 10: Guilin – Guangzhou. Begin your day with a Reed Flute Caves (Ludi Yan) visit, where you can see colorful lighting displays and amazing rock formations created by dripping water over the centuries. Then carry on your tour at Fubo Hill and enjoy the breathtaking views of various hillsides and the Li River. Catch your flight to Guangzhou after lunch and your English-speaking guide and driver will transfer you to the hotel upon your arrival. Accommodations: deluxe hotel.

Day 11: Guangzhuo - Hong Kong. Enjoy your Guangzhou city tour today. Explore the halls and courtyards of the Chen Family Temple this morning; in 1890, all the families with the last name “Chen” that resided in Guangdong province at the time contributed to the construction of the temple. After lunch, move on to the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall. The hall has more than 12,000 square meters of floor space and approximately 4,700 seats. Then transfer to the railway station and travel to Hong Kong. Your English-speaking guide and driver will transfer you to the hotel upon arrival. Accommodations: deluxe hotel.

Day 12: Hong Kong. Take a half-day Hong Kong Island Motorcoach tour, and visit the Victoria Peak, Stanley Market, Repulse Bay and the floating village of Aberdeen today.
