A flight by floatplane takes you into 15 mile long Mitchell Lake, the jewel of Cariboo Mountains Park. Keep your camera handy as you’ll be sure to want to photograph some of the spectacular “birds eye views” of the Cariboo Mountains. On arrival at Mitchell Lake you will be settled into Pyna-tee-ah’s very comfortable tent camp. For the next three days you will enjoy landing the big dolly varden and rainbow trout, exploring the Mitchell Lake area, taking in the spectacular mountain glacier scenery, native wildlife and relaxing. Don’t miss visiting this secluded mountain paradise in June, July, August or September.
Your Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival day. Arrive at our Quesnel Lake lodge, enjoy lunch, orientation session, and prepare for the flight by floatplane to Mitchell Lake. Settle in at the Mitchell Lake Camp and spend the rest of the afternoon discovering Mitchell Lake, fishing and enjoying the mountain splendour. (L/D).
Day 2: Fishing for rainbows in Mitchell Lake. (B/L/D).
Day 3: Fishing for Dolly Varden in Mitchell Lake and tributaries. (B/L/D).
Day 4: Fishing Mitchell Lake. Optional hike and fishing at Christian Lake. (B/L/D).
Day 5: Fishing the hotspots for rainbow and Dolly Varden in Mitchell Lake and tributaries. (B/L/D).
Day 6: Departure day for those who chose the 6 day package. After a leisurely breakfast prepare for the arrival of the floatplane to take you back to our lodge on Quesnel Lake. (B).
Days 7-8: For 8 day packages, days 6 - 8 include more fishing and exploring on Mitchell Lake and surrounding areas. These packages also include an optional hike through old growth forest and alpine to the glacier above Mitchell Lake. (B/L/D).

The 8 day package is $2595.00 US pp double occupancy which includes and optional hike up to the glacier above Mitchell Lake.
Included: Fully guided fishing, accommodations, meals, boats, motors, gas, guides, tackle, license, on site fly fishing instruction and ground transport to and from Williams Lake.
Not included: International airfares, fishing licenses, classified waters licenses, flies, staff appreciation gratuities, liquor, floatplane flyouts unless specifically stated. (Fishing licences, flies and other gear is available for sale in the lodge pro shop.)
