This exclusive property stands on white, powder-soft sand with magnificent coconut palms and lush indigenous plants framing spectacular views of the sea and nearby island of St. Martin. The 12,000 square feet of interiors showcase exciting architectural design complemented by a bold use of geometric shapes in the furnishings and details, many of which were commissioned for the property. State of the art amenities include remote control stereo systems in seven indoor and outdoor zones, plasma and LCD televisions, an interior elevator servicing three floors, and central air-conditioning.
The main floor Great Room is beautifully appointed under a twenty-one foot high ceiling and offers views over the Caribbean Sea and swimming pool. Jewel colored raw silk fabric, original objects d'art, Murano glass and wonderful ambient lighting beautifully enhance this grand room. The formal dining room overlooks the beach and seats ten at a glass table dressed with custom place settings and Murano stemware, and accented with Faberge pieces. A professional kitchen is gourmet equipped and designed for entertaining.
A game and media room on the second floor provides the ideal gathering place for movie watching, card playing, or a competition on the custom Blatt teak and stainless steel pool table. Ping-pong, air-hockey and board games, including chess, are also offered. There is a video library of approximately 300 movies, and reading library with a selection of over 200 titles. This room also features a striking stainless steel and marble wet bar from where sea views may be enjoyed.
Each perfectly furnished bedroom suite offers an expansive sea view, and is complete with marble bathroom with Jacuzzi, telephone, television and VCR. Two guest suites are found on the second floor, while the third floor hosts the master suite and two further guest suites. The master suite features an especially luxurious bath with Jacuzzi for two placed under a skylight, and a large walk-in shower. This suite is complemented by a wonderful half moon terrace as well as a loft with wet bar and an office fully equipped with computer, fax machine and cordless telephone. Guest rooms on this floor have spectacular high angled ceilings and skylights.
Towering forty feet above the landscape, a rooftop patio commands breathtaking vistas of Saba to the southwest, east to St. Barths, and north over Anguilla to the Atlantic. From cushioned teak chaise lounges, guests may watch yachts and cruise ships sail in the distance, or rejuvenate in the hot tub. A fifty foot sky walk reached from the second floor treats guests to a triangular viewing area where guests may witness wonderful sunrises, and is an ideal beach front site for exchanging vows.
The swimming pool is placed beach side and surrounded by a spacious and well furnished terrace. At one end, a hammock shaded by the sky walk invites napping, and just steps from the terrace, there is seating arranged on the beach under swaying palms.
The tennis court is lit for evening play and complete with a spectator pavilion seating ten, where court side refreshments and cool towels will be served by the butler. Complimentary tennis equipment is available. An air-conditioned fitness center is located with a separate entrance in one of the Resort’s “Pieds-a-Terre”. Equipment includes a treadmill, bicycle, multi-station and free weights. There is cable television, and floor to ceiling windows provide a view of Anguilla’s natural habitat.
Fine dining, accompanied by wines, cognacs and digestifs from an extensive private cellar, may be enjoyed at Altamer’s divine beach side restaurant, or privately at the villa. The Resort award-winning Executive Chef Maurice Leduc, Executive Sous Chef Thierry Neveau and exceptional villa chefs prepare splendid gourmet fare. The restaurant is just twenty feet from the ocean’s edge and offers a living work of art as Chef Leduc and his assistants create specialty French and Caribbean cuisine behind glass walls.
Guests are also invited to reserve the Chef's table, beautifully set in the gleaming stainless steel kitchen area. A personalized menu will be prepared table side, with guests' welcome interaction in the process. Ambient lighting, comfortable seating arrangements, elegant, custom designed silverware, glassware and serving pieces, and attentive, unobtrusive service enhance the Altamer dining experience.
Complimentary continental breakfast, canapes, coffee, tea and sparkling water are served daily. Creative menus appealing to children are offered. Additional sleeping accommodation is available in the two air-conditioned “Pieds-a-Terre” near the villa. One of these garden houses offers over 1,000 square feet in a loft design hosting a bathroom with shower and bedding for two adults or four children, and has views of the garden. The other is a two-stored, 3,300 square foot house with two bedrooms and three bathrooms, a living area with double sofa bed, and fully equipped kitchen. Up to six guests may sleep comfortably in this house. There is a balcony with Jacuzzi for four, and views of the sea, St. Martin and a distant bird sanctuary.
Altamer Resorts also boasts a smartly furnished, fully equipped and staffed Conference Center with a capacity for up to 20 to attend table-meeting style, or up to 80 in a theater style configuration. The resort restaurant may be reserved for private Conference Center guest functions. Please inquire for rates and availability regarding these facilities.
