Amapola Cottage, of Balinese design, is located beyond the infinity pool at the Rio Magnolia Nature Lodge. It has a separate living/dining/kitchen area; bedroom and bathroom. The tropical bathroom is enhanced by large palm plants, a glass-walled shower looking out over a private garden and a Jacuzzi in another private garden. The villa is surrounded by covered terraces and a beautiful stone patio that has a bird’s eye view of the ocean, jungle and valleys. In the evening, relax beside the wood-burning fireplace and listen to the sounds of the jungle. The Cottage is also wheelchair accessible.
Guests staying at Amapola Cottage have use of the Lodge facilities and hiking trails.

The villa has a large bedroom with a king size bed, a fully equipped kitchen and an awesome bathroom. There is a single bed/fouton can be put in the LR for an extra person.
Location & Nearby Attractions:
Amapola Cottage is located about 20 km up the mountain from Dominical, Costa Rica. Rio Magnolia can arrange day or half-day trips to one of the many south Pacific beaches, whale watching at Ballena National Park, Cano Island for snorkeling, Hacienda Baru National Wildlife Refuge for canopy tours and zip-lining.
Policy:
- Since our villa is remote and filled by reservations only, at the time of booking confirmation a non-refundable deposit is required. The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to arrival.
- The deposit is non-refundable. For cancellations in writing 7 days prior to arrival, the balance is refundable. Non-refundable if canceled less than 7 days prior.
- The villa is not suitable for for children under 16.
- There are several covered terraces outside for those who wish to smoke.
