Terms for Special Events:

* Fee: $100.00 - $1000.00 depending on the scope of the event.
* Payment: A 50% Advance Payment is required at time of reservation, with a major credit card. Remainder to be paid 30 days before event.
* Cancellation Policy: For Cancellations more than 30 days in advance we will refund your advance payment, minus a $200 processing fee. For Cancellations within 30 days, the cancellation fee will be 50% of the event fee plus any out of pocket expenses incurred by M12266.
* Food & Beverage: No unauthorized self-catering. Consult with M12266 staff for all food and beverage plans and requests.
* Hours of the Event: We need to be sensitive to our neighbors. The hours you intend to hold the event must be approved by M12266. Acceptable hours are between 12 noon and 10 p.m. Events may include up to 4 hours of event time plus 1 hour set up.
* Number of People: Maximum capacity: 50 people. The number and names of attendees must be approved by Ballantines in advance. No non-registered guests will be allowed on the property unless approved by the event coordinator. A security and clean-up fee will be charged for additional people who are not registered in advance.
* Smoking: You are welcome to smoke outdoors using ashtrays provided on patios and poolside. No Smoking is allowed inside guest rooms, lobby or lounge. There will be a $200 charge per room for smoking indoors.
* Pool/Jacuzzi Hours: Without exception, the pool and Jacuzzi close at 10pm. This is for the safety of all your party.
* Pets: No pets are allowed on the premises.

* Hawaiian Surf Room - $105 - $179 - captures the surfing culture which swept the States in the 50's led by Elvis Presley movies. The kitchenette even boasts a restored "King" brand fridge /stove/sink. Poolside and Queen bed.
* Jasper Johns - $99 - $159 - this poolside room celebrates this famous American Artist with an American Flag painting and chairs by Eero Saarinen. Poolside, Queen bed and is the room for true patriots!
* Courtney Suite - $115 - $199 - this suite is predominantly yellow and white, with formica featured throughout. This is the only room with a fireplace and a 4 person 50's dinette in its classic kitchen. The Art work consists of an eclectic collection of original photographs, prints and painting. King bed and a private patio.
* Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. - $99- $159 - this poolside room sports photographs of Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. who reputedly enjoyed the occasional matinee in this hotel. The bed is a classic cherry wood vintage bed (queen size) with an original chenille bedspread.
* Movie Men - $105 - $179 - this poolside room is a classic celebration of male movie stars and furniture of the 50's, including an Eames surfboard table. This room has a king bed, 50's retro bedspread and a private patio.
* Movie Women - $105 - $179 - this room complements the Movie Men room. It has black and white iconistic photographs of the great leading ladies of this era. This poolside room is complete with a small dressing area, 50's retro bedspread, king bed, and a private patio.
* Pretty in Pink Suite - $115 - $199 - is located on the northeast corner of the intimate courtyard and is as pink as can be, with a copy of the famous Warhol screen-print and posters from Marilyn Monroe Pictures. The poolside room has its own 1000 piece Marilyn Monroe jigsaw puzzle. The kitchenette features rose colored melamine plates and a 1950's radio. Marilyn Monroe stayed in this room which served as her hideaway from prying eyes! King bed and private patio.
* French 50's - $105 - $179 - featuring a concrete floor and a classic red and orange shag pile carpet on the floor, Bertoia chairs and artwork by Fernand Leger. This poolside room has a panoramic view of the mountains, king bed and private patio.
* 50's Musicals Suite - $115 - $199 - is an amalgam of musical greats of the era – such as Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, the Rat Pack, and Gershwin. The authentic Kelvinator fridge, Crosley radio and lava lamp capture the essence of 50's kitschy glam! Poolside, king size bed, kitchenette, great views, and private patio.
* The Rebel Studio - $99 - $159 - this is a dramatic studio with a kitchenette and original photographs of James Dean, the quintessential rebel of the 50's! This is one of M12266' coolest rooms. Queen bed and private patio.
* Palm Springs Suite - $115 - $199 - this suite has a classic 50's kitchen with Cadillac chairs. A yellow vinyl headboard and lime formica counter make this a very light and sunny poolside room epitomizing Palm Springs. Poolside, king bed, kitchenette, and private patio.
* Out of Africa Room - $90 - $139 - Leopard print bedlinen and famous photographs from African movies contribute to make this cosy room a funky addition to this eclectic hotel. Room features one Queen bed.
* Audrey Hepburn Room - $90 - $139 - this fashion icon of the 50's is reflected in the peachy coloured room with bobble chenille bedspreads and photographs. This room can be used with twins or a king bed.
