Welcome to Peffley’s Canadian Wilderness Camp. Located 12 miles out on Wabaskang Lake, the camp has eight modern housekeeping cabins and is the only wilderness camp on the lake. Wabaskang Lake is well known for its excellent fishing for Walleye, Northern pike, Smallmouth bass, Jumbo perch and Whitefish. Our guests enjoy excellent fishing for all these species from within a 10 minute boat ride from camp. An easy portage over Hobson Falls will provide guests the opportunity to fish waters that also have an excellent population of Lake Trout.
The camp is located on a rocky point overlooking the narrows to the East, where you will enjoy some of the most beautiful sunrises you can imagine. In the evenings, relax with the beauty of the Canadian Wilderness all around you. The peacefulness of the wilderness setting is something you must experience to fully appreciate. Fall asleep after a great day fishing to the haunting call of the loons as they echo across the lake.
Property amenities:
Eight guest cabins are located in camp and are available for your group. Each cabin provides its own unique view of the lake, and has its own private deck. In addition, there are a number of gas and charcoal grills in camp available for guests to use. Your cabin will come complete with all your bedding, dishes and cooking utensils, a full size propane stove for all your cooking needs, a refrigerator for all your perishable food items, a wood burning stove for those cool nights or mornings, flush toilets and a hot shower. Electricity is provided 24/7 via generator.
The camp also has a separate shower house facility with two additional 3 piece baths for your convenience. As remote as we are, there is telephone service available to guests in camp. In addition, a smaller cabin with a sink, heater, small refrigerator and two beds, is available to guests with a party of eight. This cabin is available at a reduced rate, making an 8 person booking more economical per person.
Nearby attractions and activities:
Wabaskang Lake is over 15,000 acres of water with approximately 105 miles of shoreline to explore. A typical Canadian shield lake, Wabaskang has an excellent assortment of rocky shoals, sunken islands, weed beds, points, islands and wind-protected bays, to make your fishing options endless. The many islands and bays make even the windiest of days easier to fish. Dozens of excellent fishing spots are within a 10 minute boat ride from camp. Many first time guests have commented how quickly they were able to locate and start catching fish their first day in camp.

Policy:
A non-refundable deposit of $100 per person, per week (for multiple week reservations) is required in order to hold your reservation. Deposits must be paid no later than January 1 of each year to guarantee your reservation, or within 10 days of booking for reservations made after January 1.

FALL BEAR HUNTS
Unguided bear hunting package plan includes:
* Seven day housekeeping cabin
* Boat, motor and all gas used
* Active baits are pre-baited two weeks prior to your hunt
* Guided trip to bait site at the beginning of the hunt
Guided bear hunt includes all the above, plus a guide to assist with the baiting, tracking, skinning and meat preparation of your kill.
