The 4B Ranch is an intensely managed game ranch in West Central Texas where the hunting opportunities abound and lifelong memories are made. With spacious lodge accommodations and our open pavilion highlighting the scenic West Texas view, the 4B is sure to provide a memorable experience for all our guests. The 4B Lodge is equipped with a flat screen TV, DVD player, central heating/cooling, 2 full bathrooms, kitchen, and fireplace. The adjacent open pavilion is perched atop the highest mesa on the ranch and has a scenic view of the nearby Steamboat Mountains and several large surface water tanks. With its full kitchen, bar and large rock fireplace, the pavilion is perfect for sitting around the fire recounting the day’s hunt or discussing the abundant wildlife observed on the ranch. The well maintained hunting blinds and year round feeding program insure that our guided hunts provide ample opportunity for harvesting wild game. Abundant wildlife can be observed on our ranch provided ATV’s during guided nature tours and arrowhead hunts.
Nearby attractions and activities:
Located in Comanche Indian country on the old frontier of West Texas, the 4B is located near the old Butterfield Stage Coach line in Guion, Texas. Several Run Houses which are rock structures built by the stage line in 1860 for stage passenger protection that have been restored and are nearby. Buffalo Gap, Texas, the last trading post on the western frontier of the 1860’s with its Historic Buffalo Gap Village is only 12 miles away. Frontier Texas in nearby Abilene is a new multi-million dollar tourist facility that showcases West Central Texas and its Frontier life of the time including local holographic personalities, railroad and frontier landscapes. The Grace Museum in Abilene is a nationally recognized museum with time piece recreation as well as a world class children’s museum. The Art Walk in downtown Abilene will satisfy even the most discerning student of art. The Western Heritage Classic, coinciding with the county fair and rodeo is put on in September. Parades and exhibits celebrate the western heritage native to this area and occur over a one week period.
