Sandy Point Lodge is on a pristine Canadian Shield lake with a very healthy fishery and is beautifully situated in a secluded bay of the lake, nestled among the spruce, birch and pine. We are open from early June to mid September. The lodge is remote and solitary, it can only be reached by float plane in the summer months and it is the only fishing outfitter or lodge on the entire lake. Sandy Point Lodge is located 60 miles (100 km) northeast of Yellowknife, the capital of the Northwest Territories. Gordon Lake is 30 miles (50 km) long with over eight hundred islands and plenty of productive fish habitat. Since there is no other lodge on the lake, you have privacy and freedom to find your own secret fishing hole.
Property amenities:
We have three guest cabins at Sandy Point Lodge, each consisting of a main room, two bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, fireplace, small fridge and a large screened in veranda. Each cabin can sleep up to six people and we do supply all bed linen, towels and housekeeping services. A hot tub by the lake shore, a large dining cabin, and this year we’ve added 6 new 16 foot welded aluminum boats with 4 stroke motors.
Home style meals are served in our large dining room which is located in our main building. Shore lunches are served on a beautiful beach completely set up with a fire pit and tables for your comfort.

Sandy Point Lodge, in addition to excellent fishing, offers a unique golf course which has been featured on TSN's "Golf the World Series". There is also a horseshoe pit with a beautiful view which is available for some friendly competition near the firepit.
You can spend time hiking the nature trails in the area. There is a trail that leads to one of the abandoned gold mine sites, ready for you to explore. After your hike, relax with a nice long soak in the hot tub.
Don't forget to bring your binoculars and camera, and keep a keen eye out for the local wildlife. You may have the opportunity to see wolves, moose and black bear and a variety of birds. The Loon feels particularly at home on Gordon Lake.

A deposit of 30% is required to secure booking. Balance is due 30 days prior to arrival at the Lodge. Deposit will be fully refunded if 45 days notice of cancellation is provided. Less than 45 days notice of cancellation and deposit is forfeited. No pets please.
