Set in the heart of the countryside, M13229 self-catering is composed of two apartments or self-contained accommodations with two and three bedrooms, a lounge-cum-dining room, a kitchenette or kitchen and bathroom facilities. It can be rented for a few days, a weekend, and in most cases, several weeks, especially during school holidays. You can always be sure of a warm welcome.
M13229 has not only retained its original layout but also all its furniture and its silk walling. The commanding architecture is nevertheless very agreeable. Indeed, the architect who was also a landscape gardener ensured that each room had at least two windows opening onto lovely views over the lakes and the countryside.
As you come into the castle, you will find yourself in an imposing hall. A huge chimney will warm you and you will also benefit from the sun coming through a large south-facing window.
You will always feel at ease in the elegant drawing room, which offers an amazing view over the Alps. The grand dining room is ideal for entertaining friends and family and is the perfect setting for receptions. For breakfast and informal meals, you might prefer to use the smaller dining room situated next to the kitchen. The kitchen offers up to date appliances (electric and gas cooker) but has kept all the charm of an old kitchen thanks to the antique oven and the collection of copper saucepans. Next to it, you will find the utility room with the dishwasher and the washing machine. The laundry room is situated on the landing.
Property amenities:
On the first floor, a central hall leads to the four bedrooms. The main room with a double bed (150x190 cm) has an en-suite bathroom as well as a smaller room adjacent to it with a single bed (130x190 cm). The two other rooms have two single beds each (120x190 cm) and benefit from their own bathroom however the loo is separate.
The layout of the second floor is similar to the first floor's. There is a "French billiard" (not in good condition) at the centre of that hall and you will find:
One room with a double bed (150x190 cm) and its bathroom. WC nearby.
One room with a single bed (100x185 cm) with en-suite bathroom and WC.
Richard, the family retainer, will be there to help you (part-time) for the duration of your stay. He will be able to cook your favorite dishes and introduce you to the delicious local cuisine. He will of course be happy to help in all sides of the running of the house. His fees are already included in the rent.
