Set in the midst of 700 beautifully wooded acres with bountiful native foliage, our state of the art country inn is host to bed and breakfast guests, romantic getaways, business and church groups, and weddings. Situated along the Snake Creek in Snake Creek Gorge, our property is full of history.

It was home to the Creek Indian nation and Chief William McIntosh as well as to one of the largest industrial complexes west of Savannah known as Banning Mills. Built in the mid 1880’s, this town of five mills had electricity before Atlanta and the paper mill was one of three in the nation to produce striped paper. After the Civil War, hard times came to the community and by the mid 1900’s, most of the mills had burned or shut down. The last mill closed in 1971. Our guests have the unique opportunity to walk on the old town roads and water raceways and explore some of the old mill ruins and water dams.

After a day of exploring, one can unwind with a massage in our day spa or soothe muscles in jetted tubs which are in each room along with gas log fireplaces. Reserve a sumptious meal prepared by our food and beverage staff. For groups, we have three meeting rooms which can accomodate from 10 to 250 people and our 6000sq ft covered pavilion with fire pit and stage can seat up to 500 people. Groups have a unique opportunity to utilize one of Georgia’s premier low/high ropes team building courses. Our trained facilitators will lead your group on a productive and fun filled day.

Check out our language emersion programs of which In Lingua of Atlanta is our partner. In Lingua trains many executives including Delta airlines with a very unique program with excellent results.
